Ep 37 | Seeking Adventure in the Middle with Amanda + Greg Dowell
Greg and Amanda approach each season of their life together with a spirit of adventure, choosing to be open to all available opportunities. They have been married for almost 30 years with one daughter. Greg spent most of his professional career as an executive with publicly traded real estate companies. Amanda worked as a designer before staying at home and focusing on jobs as an independent contractor.
Although technically “retired”, life continues to be extremely full. Greg spends 3 months out of the year in Greece and Turkey working with a refugee ministry and Amanda is a Certified Enneagram Coach passionate about working with young adults. Both have a passion for international and domestic travel. Their recent “yes” to adventure was moving to Auburn Alabama where their daughter began medical school. They enjoy the energy of a university town and exploring all the area has to offer.
Amanda + Greg share their experiences and insights on navigating life's transitions and choices, particularly through the lens of their Enneagram types. They emphasize the importance of self-awareness, communication, and gut instincts in coping with change, and highlight the value of leaning into adventure and reframing mindsets. They also discuss the younger generation's desire for empathy and self-awareness, and the benefits of understanding one's Enneagram number in relationships and personal growth.
